Peace in Repentance

Bonjour!

Our week started quiet and turned out super busy!

We were able to teach our friend, A, out in Berwyn over the phone. It was so awesome because when we asked her about the pamphlet and the Book of Mormon we had dropped off, she said she had read the pamphlet and had started the Book of Mormon! We hadn't introduced it yet to her so that was awesome!! She keeps telling us that we are good teachers and she always feels good when we talk to her or visit her. We keep testifying that the message we share is true and that she can have that lasting good feeling of peace as she continues on this path that will bring her closer to Jesus Christ.

Saturday was Remembrance Day. What a blessing it is to live in this beautiful country where we can enjoy peace and freedom. The ceremony we attended had some Air Cadets, Rangers, Sheriffs and Royal Canadian Mounted Police! It was so powerful to have them march in. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to share the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ with others in Canada.

Sunday we picked up the Valleyview Sisters on our way to Edmonton for our Mission Tour/Zone Conference Monday!! Yesterday was amazing!!!

We had Elder Schwitzer, an Area Seventy, who has been in the missionary department as a medical adviser, come give us training with his wife.

We started off by a Sisters' Meeting with Sister Schwitzer and Sister Pattison. It was awesome because we talked about Spiritual Gifts! Then Elder Schwitzer and President Pattison arrived. Elder Schwitzer told us that he is the one who suggested to the Twelve Apostles and the First Presidency that Sister Missionaries wear pants in the countries with infected mosquitoes. He shared that when this idea was presented to the First Presidency, President Monson said "We should do everything to protect our Sisters". SOOOOO POWERFUL! These men are truly inspired!

Elder Schwitzer's training later to us Elders and Sisters had to do with helping others understand repentance and how to support them on the path to eternal life.

I want to testify that I know that as we turn to Christ's Atonement HE WILL CARRY US through. He suffered what we have gone, are going, and will go through. He allows us to turn to Him for peace as we come to Him with a broken heart and contrite Spirit. I love this gospel, and I love my Saviour Jesus Christ.

Lots of love,

Sister Tatjana Zumbach
